Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Anumula Revanth Reddy on Thursday stated that the State is a frontrunner in several industry verticals, while leading in job creation and infrastructure across India.
“We are transforming Hyderabad into a hub for data centers, green energy, life sciences, biotech, manufacturing, and agri-processing. When I said Hyderabad is rising, some doubted. Now, the whole world agrees,” said the CM, who reiterated his vision for Hyderabad to compete on a global scale, not just with Indian metros, but with the world’s top tech cities.
After inaugurating HCLTech’s global delivery centre here on Thursday, the Chief Minister said: “Some people differed with my resolve to make Telangana a one trillion-dollar GDP State. They said it was not possible. After signing MoUs worth Rs41,000 cr and Rs1.78 lakh cr during last two Davos trips, now, they realised that my aim is noteworthy.”
Underscoring the State’s dynamic growth and its emergence as a hub for technology and innovation, the Chief Minister further highlighted Telangana’s meteoric rise as the fastest-growing State in India. “Every day, I am either signing new MoUs with MNCs or inaugurating new facilities from previous agreements. In just one year, Telangana secured the highest domestic and foreign investments, leading the country in job creation, AI adoption, and maintaining the lowest inflation rates,” remarked Reddy.
Referring to recent developments in the State, the Chief Minister said that he launched a new technology and innovation centre of Amgen, one of the world’s largest life sciences companies and the State hosted global life-sciences event, BioAsia.
He appreciated HCL Tech’s contributions in making India proud with operations in 63 countries and over 220,000 employees worldwide.
“Since arriving in Hyderabad in 2007, HCL grew exponentially. With this world-class KRC facility, it will employ nearly 5,000 people across 3.2 lakh square feet of space,” Reddy said.
Telangana IT and Industry Minister D Sridhar Babu, IT Secretary Jayesh Ranjan,C Vijay Kumar, CEO& MD, Pawan Malpally (CBP and Global Head, Digital Business), HCL Tech, and other officials were present on the occasion.
